Médéric graduated from the CRR in Lille in bassoon, harpsichord, chamber music, early music and composition.

In 2003, he was accepted into Marc Trenel’s class at the CNSMD in Paris, where he won a prize for German bassoon and chamber music in 2007, while continuing to enrich his training with baroque bassoon and Gregorian chant. He then joined the advanced woodwind concerto cycle in the classes of Gilbert Audin and Lionel Bord, before completing a Master’s degree in orchestral studies with Alfonso Venturieri at the HEM in Geneva in 2010.

Médéric has performed regularly as a soloist (Mozart bassoon concerto with the Lille CRR orchestra, Pleyel concertante with the CNSMD prizewinners’ orchestra, etc.) and recorded Hummel’s Grand Concerto for bassoon with orchestra in 2008.

In parallel with his studies, he was appointed bassoonist with the Gendarmerie Mobile orchestra in 2005, and in 2012 became principal bassoon with the Ulster Orchestra (Northern Ireland). He performs regularly with some of the most prestigious orchestras, including the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Orchestre de Paris, the Opéra National de Paris and the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, under the baton of the greatest conductors.
