As part of the Francophony week and ahead of the France-Brazil year, the CIQ les Hauts de Mazargues, the Notes en Couleurs association and the Ensemble C Barré are organising a musical dialogue between Marseille and Rio de Janeiro with the Petits Violons (Little Violins) and the choir from the École des Calanques, grouped together under the name Les Pupitres des Calanques.
Les Pupitres des Calanques from Marseilles will respond to the string orchestra of young musicians from the Uerê project from the Favelas of Rio de Janeiro led by Constance Depretz. These two social projects will respond to each other 9,000 kilometres apart!
90 children from the École des Calanques in la Cayolle will be present at the École des Beaux-Arts de Marseille in Luminy, and 30 children from the Uerê project will be videoconferencing from the Biblio-maison of the French Consulate in Rio de Janeiro.
